Surfing demands you to be fully in tune with your environment and surroundings as well requiring a high level of focus. The ability to empty your mind of all the clutter and distractions to be present is no easy task. But it is a skill that you will need to master if you are to succeed in the water. Turn on, tune in, or fall off. Many pro surfers like Kelly Slater attribute their surfing success to the benefits that they have gained from practicing yoga (amongst other things).
Yoga is a physical form of exercise and its transferability to surfing cannot be overlooked or overstated. It can be tremendously helpful in strengthening the core as well as improving balance, flexibility, and mobility. These are all things you are going need to be a successful surfer.
They teach a unique style of yoga that is specific to improving your surfing performance. You will learn poses and sequences that are most effective and that target the muscles that need more development.
Although the yoga is tailored toward surfers, you must not forget that yoga means “union” and remind yourselves that this is not just yoga for surfers, but instead, it is yoga for all.

Every morning, you and the team take surfing photos or video and the camp will provide at least two photo / video analysis sessions per week to identify problems with your surfing technique, and propose the solution. Their photographer captures the best of the action for your daily surf report. High-quality video and photos are free and given to you on a disc at the end of your stay.
