This 8 days yoga and diving holiday will give you an introduction to yoga and how it can assist and improve your diving and breathing techniques. It is suitable for everybody, from divers to non-divers, and from experienced yoga practitioners to beginners. All yoga lessons are conducted by an international yoga master and can be performed by a yogi of any level. Each evening sunset class has a duration of 45 minutes that consists of an introduction, breathing practice, warm up, standing and seating sequence, and meditation. Diving is led by a PADI Dive Master or instructor in small groups from a traditional Maldives dhoni (boat). Dive sites are chosen based on weather and current conditions together with skill level of divers participating.
Unlike many of the other diving areas in Maldives, Haa Alif’s marine life seems to revel in the minimal interference from humans with flourishing hard coral growth over most of the submerged boulders. Soft corals do well on the sides of the boulders protected from often strong currents. Fish life thrives in the nutrient-rich waters bringing in the reef predators: white and black tip reef sharks and large numbers of manta rays. The area offers drift dives, cave diving and even the Maadhoo wreck. Wall dives are among some of the best you will find in the whole of the Maldives scuba diving region and the coral reefs shine in the sunny weather and clear waters that make for great visibility of up to 30 meters.
The program is suitable for certified divers and from experienced yoga practitioners to beginners. For individuals without diving certification programs can be designed to include learn to dive certification.
